On April 29, 2025, the focus is on preparations for the trinational military exercises under the name "Trias25". Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner and the Swiss Federal Councilor Martin Pfister will visit the media day together on May 1st for exercise on the Allentsteig, Lower Austria military training area. This exercise takes place from April 14 to May 9, 2025 and includes the participation of up to 1,300 soldiers from the three countries: 950 Swiss, 200 Austrian and 150 German soldiers.
The exercise "Trias25" aims to gain knowledge to strengthen defense ability and to intensify the cooperation between the nations involved. A variety of modern equipment is used, including off-road vehicles, combat and combat rangers as well as drones.

In the past, Swiss soldiers have trained in Allentsteig, specifically in 1992 and 1996. The service abroad is voluntary for the Swiss team and requires the approval of the soldiers. The trilateral cooperation between the Austrian Armed Forces, the Swiss Army and the German Bundeswehr should not only increase the ability to cooperate, but also implement the concept of "triad", which enables future exercises on a larger scale.
