Vienna, AT - On May 17, 2025, Diego Ulissi from Team Astana took over the pink jersey at the Giro d’Italia. He finished third at the eighth stage, which stretched over 197 kilometers from Giulianova to Castelraimondo, and was able to take over the overall lead by referring Primož Roglič (Red Bull-Bora) to second place, which had taken the lead the day before.
