And how can technological innovation be associated with social and ecological goals?

The next edition of the Transformation Forum is planned for autumn and takes place as part of the EU Interreg project "Twin City Future Innovation Manufacturing Hub" between Slovakia and Austria.

Green innovation as a perspective

An essential aspect of the transformation is the Green Innovation, which aims to make companies successful and at the same time act environmentally friendly. According to IHK , the focus must be on the adjustment of products, services, processes and business models. The various dimensions of the green innovation, including both technological changes and the integration of users, are crucial for the identification of added value.

Green Innovation includes numerous terms such as sustainable innovation, eco innovation and environmental innovation that are often used synonymously. They can be viewed both at the macro level, such as the change of global raw material and energy flows, as well as at the micro level, by improving energy and material efficiency in companies. The innovation management process plays a crucial role in converting these sustainable ideas into marketable products and opening up new markets and gaining competitive advantages.

summarized the current transformation of industry is a complex interplay of digitization, sustainability and human aspects. Companies have to face these challenges in order to remain sustainable and resilient. The platform Industry 4.0 and initiatives such as the Green Innovation offer valuable support in this process.
