Two years of successful nursing coordination in Lienz: a review
The coordination office for care and support in Lienz can look back on a successful record of its first two years. This facility was founded in October 2022 to offer people in need of care and their relatives. The two coordinators, Claudia Obererlacher and Elisabeth Ranacher, are the central contact persons who ensure that the different partners work together effectively in the area of care and support.
As part of a networking meeting that brought together all partners in the Lienz district, the two -year existence of the facility was celebrated. Gabi Schiessling, the state coordinator, thanked everyone involved for the positive cooperation and emphasized: "Only together can we achieve the best possible for those to be cared for and their relatives."
The numbers speak for themselves
The coordination office already recorded over 200 first contacts this year. This includes 42 telephone consultations, more than 100 personal conversations in the office and 63 supportive case management cases. Furthermore, 94 home visits were carried out and over 50 networking meetings with local organizations were organized. Schiessling emphasizes that the coordinators have become indispensable for many institutions, such as hospitals and for caring relatives.
Most of the contact persons are over 65 years old. Frequent topics that come up in the consultations are care at home as well as social law and financial issues. According to Claudia Obererlacher, it is not only important to find out where help is offered, but also how it can be financed. Her colleague Elisabeth Ranacher adds that many applications, such as for care allowance, were processed together with those affected and their relatives.
