Pierce Brosnan: Visiting surprise in East Tyrol and Munich

This week, an internationally known actor caused excitement in Bavaria and Austria. Pierce Brosnan, who became world famous as "James Bond", has been spotted several times in Munich and East Tyrol in the past few days. The 71-year-old is currently participating in the filming for "Cliffhanger 2", in which Sylvester Stallone also participates. The film crew is active in comments on the locations in the region and has recorded several scenes in the impressive backdrop of the Galitzenklamm.

The first reports on Brosnan's stay come from East Tyrol, where he recently visited the museum in Bruck Castle. The official Instagram page of the castle announced his surprise visit on October 14th and praised his enthusiasm for the works of art by the painter Albin Egger Lienz. Brosnan was discovered by a random visitor who was initially skeptical whether it was really the star. Christopher Handl, chairman of the local cultural committee, recalls: "I just wanted to end the cultural summer with my sister, and suddenly we discovered him!"

The "Cliffhanger 2" production took place in several parts of East Tyrol. According to the “Kleine Zeitung”, the quarry in St. Johann im Walde and the Klapfsee in Obertilliach were also planned as a location. The shooting not only contributed to the visibility in the region, but also brought several million euros in added value, as Franz Theurl from the Tourismus Association East Tyrol confirmed.

After Brosnan was spotted in East Tyrol, he made a detour to Munich. There, photos and videos are circulating on the Internet that show him in the city, including recordings of his arrival in the hotel. A Munich woman was lucky enough to meet him by chance and of course held the moment. While Munich is known for various international stars, like Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones, Brosnan's visit remains another highlight for the city.
