New life in the conference house Wörgl: solemn reopening after renovation

The conference house in Wörgl has opened its doors again after a year and a half of construction. At the reopening on Thursday, many guests of honor, including Archbishop Franz Lackner and Tyrol's governor Anton Mattle, were able to admire the new premises. Conference house director Herwig Ortner was enthusiastic about the general renovation that has transformed the building into a modern and inviting home for education and encounter. Where old walls were once stood, bright, spacious rooms now invite you to linger.

The modernization of the conference center is not only visually successful, but also sets new standards in accessibility and energy efficiency. A new photovoltaic system also ensures sustainable energy supply. The investments were estimated at around four million euros as part of the general renovation, with the state of Tyrol, the federal government and the Archdiocese of Salzburg shared.

The conference center is not only a room for events, but also an important junction for non -profit and church institutions. It houses organizations such as the Catholic action and the young church. The renovation combines several previously separate Caritas offers in one place, which promotes greater networking of the institutions. "This is an important step to create synergies and enrich educational work," says Ortner.

During the celebrations, the new premises were extensively appreciated. Politicians and religious representatives spoke about the importance of education and communal exchange. In particular, the idea that religious education must not be lost was highlighted by Archbishop Lackner. This reopening is seen as a sign of engagement for a strong and informative community, where people of all ages are welcome. In addition to the new seminar and consulting rooms, visitors will also find a common library and other innovative offers.
