Kufstein welcomes the little ones: a festival for young families and book lovers
in Kufstein was organized on November 23, a very special festival for the youngest citizens of the city. With two loving actions- the baby and toddler reception as well as the "Reading Start Initiative"- the municipality shows how important it is. These events aim to establish an early connection to the world of books and to promote community.
The morning began in the culture of quarters, where around sixty children aged 0 to 2 years were warmly welcomed with their families. On this special occasion, the newborn gifts received symbolic gifts such as a tree, a spelled spelling pillow in mouse form and their first book. There was also a second book for the older children to make it easier for little readers to get started with the story of the story.
valuable exchange for parents
The event also offered parents the opportunity to talk in a relaxed atmosphere and to make valuable contacts. In addition to the social snack, various care facilities and organizations such as Zoi Tirol and the parent-child center "Schubi-Du" also presented their offers. The parents not only received gifts, but also useful information and suggestions for everyday family life.
In the afternoon, the city library "Kubi" turned into a real paradise for small book fans. At the “reading.Start event”, the children were able to immerse themselves in exciting stories, explore exciting stations and at the end a book gift and a cozy seating pillow. For children interested in nature, there was also seeds for planting a wildflower meadow, which is a great way to get to know and experience nature. The stories at the reading stations were told alive by the author Brigitte Weninger and literary mediator Annette Wachinger and delighted the small listeners.
an initiative for the future
Mayor Brigitta Klein was enthusiastic about the successful event and emphasized the importance of such initiatives: "It is a pleasure for us to celebrate twice today and to encourage the children to actively deal with books and the associated worlds. As a city, we are proud to offer the parents a platform for the exchange and at the same time welcome the youngest." This love for the children and literature makes Kufstein a particularly child -friendly place.
