On Saturday, November 16, 2024, a rousing lecture took place in the Kultur Quartier Kufstein, organized by the Kulturverein Wunderlich. Under the title "Auffe und Owe", the two friends Guido Unterwurzacher and Peter Salzmann delighted the spectators present with their fascinating stories from the world of extreme sports.

Guido Unterwurzacher, an alpinist with roots in Going am Wilder Kaiser, opened the evening with exciting stories from his career. With a charming and uncomplicated style, he reported on his first experiences on the veil waterfall and a memorable encounter with a Bavarian in bright yellow leggings. These anecdotes led the audience on an adventurous journey that brought him to different places in the world, including Patagonia, North America, Oman and Pakistan before finally returning home.

The ups and downs of the air

In the second part, Peter Salzmann, who had only set up three world records as a Wingsuit pilot a few days ago. These records include the longest flight, the greatest distance and the greatest gradient that have ever been reached by a Wingsuit pilot. With impressive pictures, Salzmann took the audience into the dizzying world of aerial acrobatics and gave unique insights into his breathtaking experiences.

The evening was not only a tribute to extreme sports, but also thanks to all those who support such events. The Kulturverein Wunderlich would like to continue to offer such inspiring lectures in the future.

For the next cultural highlights, the association has already announced the final event of the Wunderli Culture Days 2024. This will also take place on December 7, 2024 in the KUFSTEIN Culture. The well-known actor Günther-Maria Halmer will hold a reading with the title "Merry Christmas" that evening, musically framed by the "Kerschbam Terzett".
