Heavy toboggan accident in Tyrol: 50-year-old fights for his life!
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, there were two serious accidents in the ski areas of Neustift and Schlick in Tyrol. The first incident occurred at around 3:00 p.m. when a 35-year-old ski driver from Neustift fell around ten meters into rock-well-served terrain due to poor visibility. The visual relationships had made him underestimate the danger, which led to injuries indefinitely. After the first aid by the slopes, the accident was flown to the Innsbruck hospital with an emergency doctor helicopter, such as Meinzirk.at reported.
A few hours later, at around 8:00 p.m., another serious accident occurred in the Schlick2000 ski area. A 50-year-old man from the Netherlands wanted to slow down about 200 meters below the middle station, but lost control and crashed into head across the base of a lantern. The impact led to serious injuries that required quick help from the slope rescue. The injured was immediately transported to the valley with the gondola and continued to be taken to the Innsbruck clinic by emergency doctors and paramedics, as well as 5min.at reported.Details | |
