Innsbruck: MCI students cook for equal opportunities in the dinner club

In Innsbruck, the students of the master's degree in “International Social and Health Management” will organize a special meal in the Dinner Club on Friday evening. Under the motto "Enjoying and doing good", they have set themselves the goal of supporting the "Sindbad" association with the income. Together with Chiara Wachter, one of the co -organizers, was hard to create a delicious menu that should inspire the guests.

The idea of taking on social responsibility is firmly anchored as part of the course. "You can't learn management on paper," Chiara describes the motivation behind the event. Preparations have been running for three weeks in which the 36 students have coordinated all aspects of the project.

a delicious menu for a good cause

The dishes served on Friday are a pleasure for all the senses. On the menu there are pumpkin cream soup as a starter, followed by dumplings with fresh salad and delicious cheesecake with plum roaster as a dessert. "We want the guests to have an unforgettable experience," continued Chiara.

The support of the “Sindbad” association is of great importance. The association promotes a mentoring program that brings people together from different living environments. Isabell de Luca, who works as a mentor, explains how valuable these connections are. "We help young people to find their ways into training," she emphasizes.

The mentoring program has already reached over 4932 young people in Austria since 2016. It offers young people support on their way to vocational training or secondary schools. "It is important that we promote equal opportunities," continued de Luca.

photo exhibition - a visual highlight

In addition to the culinary delights, the Dinner Club also offers a photo exhibition that documents the activities of the mentoring program. This exhibition opens on October 2 and shows the experiences of the participants. The focus is on the 1: 1 relationship between mentor: inside and mentees, which is a central aspect of the program.

The mentor: inside, often between 20 and 35 years old, not only strengthen the skills of their mentees, but also take on social responsibility. "It is indescribably enriching to be part of this process," says Chiara, who has already worked as a mentor.

For the event on Friday, the preparations are almost completed. All ingredients are bought, the division of labor is and the anticipation for the students is noticeable. Both the food and the support of the good cause are the focus: "Anyone who wants to support opportunities for opportunities should come to us," Chiara asks. If you can no longer get a place, you have the opportunity to donate on the homepage of the dinner club.

The entire event not only promotes the culinary arts, but also an important social concern - equal opportunities for all young people. The initiative of the students encourages others to also become active and to work for their community. With a delicious menu and a clear message, the evening in the Dinner Club could achieve a lot.
