Daniela Wolsegger: From homesick to the musical teacher in Innsbruck
A remarkable love story unfolds in East Tyrol, where Daniela Wolsegger and Christoph Manucredo, two passionate musicians, have closed the covenant for life this summer. The two who got to know each other through a dating app not only maintain their relationship, but also their common passion for music that she brought together. But that's not the only news from Daniela's life.
Daniela, born and raised in Matrei in East Tyrol, has just completed her master's degree with the subjects of religion and English and is now teaching at several middle schools in Innsbruck. The decision to go into apprenticeship came happily for her: "I am glad that I took the step. The first teaching experiences were very positive," says the new teacher.
music in everyday life
music plays a central role in Daniela's life. Since 2019 it has been part of the Innsbruck band "Harlequeens", which emerged from former fellow students. "At the beginning we mainly played cover songs, but I used our common creativity to write my own texts," explains Daniela. Her preference for the English language is reflected in her songs, in which she wrote the text herself. "In my eyes, English is simply a more beautiful language for poetic forms of expression," she adds.
The band has a diverse repertoire that combines elements from pop, country, blues and rock. They are currently striving for new performance options because the pandemic has severely affected the live music scene in Innsbruck. "It is no longer so easy to organize appearances because many restaurants have closed or have changed their music styles," says Daniela. The "Harlequeens" are open to bookings, be it for birthday parties or other events.
Daniela's love for her homeland has changed over the years. "In the past I really wanted to get away from East Tyrol to gain new experiences. But today I dream of teaching again here and no longer just driving home at the weekend," she says. Unfortunately, no suitable position in the region has opened up so far, but it is optimistic and plans to apply there for the next year.
The path to her new apartment in the debant, which you and Christoph together renovate, shows your degree for rooting at home. Another wish that she has is to add more four -legged members to your family - you remember to take more cats. "We already have three at home, including one from the animal shelter and two Sphinx cats. They bring so much joy into our lives!" Says Daniela.
In her professional career, she has a valuable learning tip in stock, which she would like to pass on to students: "It is smarter to start learning for exams early. Procrastination often stressed me out during my studies." She would like to advise younger colleagues to find their own way and not to compare their own development with others. "At the end of the day, only that you find the right way for yourself and make the best of your experiences," concludes Daniela, while keeping her joyful look at the future challenges.
