Capitals celebrate goal -rich reparation against Innsbruck!
The Spusu Vienna Capitals are back in top shape and break the defeat series with a convincing 8-2 victory against HC Tiwag Innsbruck. After a mixed phase of the last games, when the Capitals had lost three times in a row, they achieved an impressive home win on Friday evening that could bring the turn. Maximilian Theirich opened the goal series in the eighth minute, followed by Leon Wallner and Willie Raskob, who already set the result to 3: 0 in the first third. It was only in the 33rd minute that Innsbruck was able to score the first goal by Thomas Mader.
dominating performance
In a furious second third, the Viennese continued to raise the score. Jérémy Grégoire (21st), Wallner (24th), Joseph Cramarossa (25./PP1) and Raskob (27th) acted strongly and gave Innsbruck no chance. The Caps head coach Gerry Fleming was enthusiastic about the return of Wallner and its positive influence on the team. "Many players today contributed a lot to this victory," said Fleming, while his team increased the distance to the Pioneers to at least ten points with this success.
But also on his own defensive, Sebastian Wraneschitz knew how to convince in the goal by defending decisive shots of the sharks. The only shock on Saturday could have been the injury to several key players like Dominic Hackl and Brett Kemp, but the Capitals seem to have found their shape before the decisive games. In the coming game, they will meet the Pioneers from Vorarlberg, who lost to Fehervar on the same evening and continue to be behind the Viennese in the table. The chances are good that the capitals can continue this upward trend and want to build on the top of the table, as the report from vienna-capitals.at shows.
