Theaterfest Lower Austria: Summer becomes a stage party!
Niederösterreich, Österreich - On June 4, 2025, the Theaterfest Lower Austria opens its summer season with a variety of events that raise the entire region to the stage. As early as Thursday, 19 Festival platforms will present a total of 23 productions by September 7 and thus offer a wide range of opera, acting, musical and operetta, both for adults and children. These invitations to cultural development are not only designed for the number of spectators - in the previous year over 225,000 guests took part in the festival events, as Kristina Sprenger, the chairwoman of the Theaterfest Lower Austria, emphasized.
The summer games Sitzenberg open on June 5 with the staging of William Shakespeare's "What you want", a piece about the twins viola and Sebastian, which are separated in Illyria. Anke Zisak takes over the direction, and Barbara Kaudelka, Hubert Wolf, Sandra Högl, Angela Schneider and Kurt Hexmann can be seen in the main line -up. As a result, the premiere of "Praterstern - scenes from our tragicomic life", which comes from Monika Helfer and Michael Köhlmeier, will be celebrated on June 18 with Christina Gegenbauer on Direction and Julia Cencig in the leading role.
