Ternitzer triathletes convince at Challenge in St. Pölten!

St. Pölten, Österreich - On June 1, 2025, several Ternitzer triathletes took part in the Triathlon Challenge in St. Pölten. This event is an important event in triathlon sports and attracts athletes from different performance groups. The participation of the athletes from Ternitz was an exciting highlight of the day.

The competitors competed in cold temperatures, which led to a shortening of the swimming part from 1,900 to 1,500 meters. The bike route measured 90 kilometers and led through the picturesque Wachau, where the athletes had to get along with gusty wind. The conclusion was a half marathon over 21.1 kilometers.

Sebastian Temmel proved to be the fastest Ternitz participant. He reached the goal in a time of 5:03:22 hours. The other athletes also ensured considerable results:

  • Markus Lechner: 5:39:42 hours
  • Fredi Grüner: 5:39:50 hours

also involved in the competition was Eva-Maria Bauer, who started at the Aquabike race. With a time of 3:51:49 hours, she took the fourth overall rank of women.

Dominik Marek and his comeback
