Streaming boom: Germans now spend up to 30% more!
Deutschland - The streaming landscape in Germany is more dynamic than ever in 2025. According to the current Simon-Kucher Streaming-Studie is the budget the Germans increased significantly for streaming subscriptions, from 23 euros to 30 euros. This development indicates that consumers are willing to issue up to 30 percent more for their streaming services.
The survey, which over 1000 consumers interviewed in Germany, also shows that 34 percent of the respondents find their expenses too high. Over 25 percent of Germans state to use more streaming services than they actually need. Despite this critical perception, loyalty to the existing subscriptions has grown according to the study; Fewer and fewer users cancel their subscriptions, even if additional services are used.
