Strache criticizes Kickl: A drama for the freedom in Austria!
Radenthein, Österreich - After the dramatic failure of the government negotiations between the FPÖ and the ÖVP, the former FPÖ boss Heinz-Christian Strache is criticized by Herbert Kickl, the current party leader. Strache criticizes that after only four weeks Kickl broke off the negotiations frustrated and thus made it possible for a “negative government coalition” with the ÖVP, SPÖ and NEOS. "Unfortunately, instead of five good years, there were only five good minutes for Austria," explains Strache and warns of the "bad years" under such a government. In his opinion, Kickl played the chance of real improvements for Austria with his uncompromisingness, which he describes as "a drama for Austria and many freedom voters", as he sticks to X (formerly Twitter).
Kickl's climb to the strongest party
Herbert Kickl has made the FPÖ the strongest political force in Austria, which is considered a historical rise. Growing up in simple conditions in Carinthia, he found his way to the FPÖ through a fascination for Jörg Haider. Under Kickl's leadership, the FPÖ radicalized and successfully established itself in the political field, where it increased in elections, even in the Vienna elections in 2015 when it received almost 31 percent of the votes. Kickl is viewed as the "Brain Straches" and was largely involved in the development of the party's aggressive communication strategies, which are shaped by xenophobia.
However, his political career was not without controversy. During his time as Interior Minister, Kickl was involved in several scandals, which included the search for the office of the Office for the Office for the Protection of the Constitution. His radical views and the controversy about its right -wing extremists and verbal failures against migrants are stated by reviews. But despite all the setbacks, Kickl was able to stay at the head of the FPÖ and achieved power with 28.9 percent in the last National Council elections, while the coalition talks with the ÖVP ultimately failed. This was seen by historians in the FPÖ as a "never recurring chance" for the party, as Kontrast.at reported.Details | |
