Rescue action in Weiz: Almost 40 cats can find help and hope

In the picturesque region of Weiz, almost 40 neglected cats were recently discovered, which were in a worrying state. Hikers came across this battered group, many of the animals were heavily emaciated, suffered from serious illnesses and sometimes even lost their eyes. These grievances are primarily due to cat cold and the uncontrolled behavior of the inbreeding - a serious problem that urgently had to be addressed.

The Weiz official veterinarian, Dr. Maurer, was confronted with the situation and saw no other option than to address a call for help. Thereupon a rescue mission was launched, which immediately set up. "We couldn't hesitate, because many of these animals would not have survived without our quick intervention," reported the committed helpers.

help with high pressure

The rescue operation was carried out around the clock. With patience and a variety of traps, the emergency services managed to capture the stray cats. Among the saved animals were also very weak and injured specimens, which are now treated in the so -called ark Noah veterinary. Here the cats not only get medical care, but also a castration - an important step to prevent uncontrolled reproduction. Some cats could even be brought back to their usual feeding points, which enables them to return to an improved habitat.

However, the situation is not so easy for all animals. In particular, the weakest and youngest cats need intensive care and cannot be released outside. For you, loving care places are now being sought to enable you to make a new, sheltered life.

castration as a key to the solution

dr. Maurer points out how crucial castration projects are for the long -term solution to the problem. "Only through mandatory castration can we reduce the suffering of stray cats sustainably," she said. Returning the cats to secure feeding points ensures that they can continue to live in freedom, but under significantly safer and improved conditions.

urgent support necessary

The supply of saved cats requires considerable financial means. Animal lovers who want to help can contribute to medical care and care. Every euro is valuable to enable these animals a second chance of a better life.
