Bureaucracy mining and education: WKO relies on talents in Voitsberg
The Chamber of Commerce has recently taken a district tour through Voitsberg to exchange ideas with members and entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to discuss important topics such as reducing bureaucracy, the modernization of the education system and the recruitment of international workers. The regional office chairman Peter Sükar made it clear that the current bureaucracy overhang was also noticeable in the political parties and this must be tackled urgently.
"We have to do something", emphasized Sükar, emphasizing that the reduction in bureaucracy must also increase the attractiveness of entrepreneurship. Many self -employed people felt demotivated by the extensive bureaucracy, which made it difficult to establish new companies. These views were supported by Karl-Heinz Dernoscheg, the director of the Styria Chamber of Commerce, who took part in the tour together with Sükar and regional office manager Lukas Kalcher to visit local businesses.
focus on talent and education
The WKO director Dernoscheg emphasized the importance of raising the "groundwater level of will to perform and personal responsibility" in Austria. He pointed out that the average weekly working time has dropped in recent years, which is causing a concern. A crucial part of his concern is the promotion of young talents, for example through the initiative project "TalentCenter" of the WKO. This must go hand in hand with a necessary modernization of the education system, which according to Sükar "still has not arrived in the 21st century".
strengths should be encouraged and not only treated weaknesses, according to the WKO line. This way of thinking could help secure the contingent of highly qualified workers and to increase the competitiveness of the region.
older workers do not forget
Another important aspect of the discussion round was the work integration of older people. Dernoscheg advocated offering perspectives to the older generation. If you do not want to leave your professional life in retirement age, you should receive the possibility and funding to remain active. The motto "performance must be worthwhile" reflects this approach and illustrates the intention of the Chamber of Commerce to promote a sustainable working culture that includes all generations.
The talks in the Voitsberg region underline the challenges that the local economy faces, and at the same time show the strategies that the Chamber of Commerce pursues to tackle them. The desired reforms could be crucial for the future development of the economic environment in West Styria. For more detailed information on this topic, see the report on www.meinbezirk.at .
