Change of leadership in Leibnitz and Murau: Take care of new district managers

In the Leibnitz and Murau region, there are significant changes: From December 1st, the district chief Manfred Walch and Florian Waldner are retiring. This decision not only marks a change in leadership, but also the end of an era that was characterized by decades of commitment in the public service.

The official pension decrees were presented in the Graz castle, where Governor Christopher Drexler, deputy governor Anton Lang and HR state councilor Werner Amon expressed their gratitude. "We would like to thank Manfred Walch and Florian Waldner for their decades of commitment to the state service and wish all the best for retirement!"

Walch, who has headed the Leibnitz district administration since August 2002, joined the regional service in 1988. His successor, Karin Wiesegger-Eck, will take over the line under his successor. Florian Waldner, also born in 1960, was head of a political expositure in Gröbming until 2002 before taking the position as district captain of Murau, which he has held since 2013. Peter Plöbst will follow him in this role.

Both leaders have significantly shaped the development of their departments. During their terms, they focused on effective implementation of administrative processes and the improvement of civil services. Their commitment is not only reflected in daily work, but also in the trust they have won among citizens and employees.
