Railway renovation of the B 320 in Liezen West starts on October 7th

From Monday, October 7th, the renovation of the road in the Liezen West area begins on the B 320. This section is busy daily and represents a special challenge for the workers used. According to estimates, around 18,000 vehicles drive over a distance of 700 meters every day, which is now being renovated. The total cost of this measure amounts to around 430,000 euros, as representative of Governor Anton Lang, who is responsible for the traffic area.

The renovation focuses on the section between kilometers 66.600 and kilometer of 67.300 on Ennstalstrasse. First, the banquets are removed, followed by a comprehensive milling of the asphalt ceiling, which varies between eight and eleven meters. In the case of particularly damaged areas, deeper milling is made, so that the new asphalt layers at these areas are up to 17 centimeters thick, while in other places it will be nine centimeters.

traffic regulation during work

The renovation work is maintained. It is worked with semi -sided blocks and modifications. Construction workers manually regulate the traffic, while a traffic light regulation is used from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the night. Martin Kerschbaumer from the Liezen construction district management informs that the last work - including the production of banquets and the moving of the guiding places - should be completed by October 31.

The work is necessary to improve traffic safety and put the road into good condition. The adjustments to the infrastructure are of central importance in order to meet the requirements of high traffic. This is particularly important on the strongly frequented B 320.
