Styria show 2025: Experience art and history in the new pavilion!
Heldenplatz, 1010 Wien, Österreich - Vienna will soon become the scene for the latest edition of Styria, which will take place on Heldenplatz from March 13th to 30th, 2025. Under the title "Ambition & Illusion", the event is enriched by three impressive pavilions that focus on the history and the legacy of Eggenberg Castle. The structure of the temporary structures, designed by the Graz architectural group WG3, is already in full swing. The pavilions are designed with contemporary art and are reminiscent of the architectural beauty of the UNESCO World Heritage, which will be presented in April in Eggenberg Castle itself, such as Grazztourismus.at reported.
The opening of the pavilions takes place on March 12, 2025 at 7 p.m. Interested parties can look forward to a total area of over 470 square meters and experience the innovative designs of the pavilions, which are based on the architecture of Schloss Eggenberg. The exhibition not only addresses the heyday of the castle, but also the challenges that had to be overcome in the course of history. After the premiere in Vienna, the pavilions are shown in various places in Styria such as in Mariazell and Leoben, which enables a unique cultural exchange, such as vienna.at emphasized.
insights into history and art
Styria Show is known for its profound artistic disputes with social issues, and this year's exhibition is no exception. The three pavilions will not only gather artistic positions on past events, but also offer a new view of the past. Visitors can hope to discover the narrative dimensions of the castle and its 365 windows, which symbolically stand for the time and their changing phases. The pavilion in Eggenberg Castle itself will continue to continue the exhibition later in the year and deepen the topic, so that both art and historical those interested will get their money's worth.
