Styrian choose Freedom New beginning: A look at the state election

On November 24th, the citizens of Styria have the opportunity to change the direction of regional politics. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) is strongly positioning itself as an alternative to the previous red-black government, which, according to opinions of many critics, suffers from a standstill.

The freedom in Styria are particularly motivated by their success in the past elections. This confidence became clear at a recent event in Leibnitz's main square, in which more than 1,400 supporters took part. Federal party chairman Herbert Kickl and the top candidate for the state election, Mario Kunasek, attracted numerous interested parties. The election surveys indicate that the freedoms could result in the strongest force.

priorities for Styria

Gerald Deutschmann, the top candidate in the constituency, emphasized that the freedoms bring the right solutions for the challenges in Styria. "The right is from the people," he emphasized, criticizing the current politics, which in their opinion no longer serves the citizens. Deutschmann mainly named the support of the domestic economy and the creation of affordable living space as central concerns. Many have suffered from the framework conditions of previous politics, which requires urgent measures.

With regard to the construction sites of politics, he said: "It is time to withdraw the superfluous requirements for the construction industry and finally act in the interests of the people." This shows the clear focus of the FPÖ on the needs of the population, especially when it comes to social and economic justice.

The views of Herbert Kickl are also shaped by the conviction that the time has come for a change process. He commented critically about the governing parties and speaks of the desire of the people for a policy that focuses on the essentials again: on family, home and identity.

During his speech, the FPÖ top candidate Mario Kunasek said that he is ready to take responsibility and face the challenges that have occurred through the policy of the ÖVP and SPÖ in recent years. He indicated the serious problems in the healthcare system, in particular the closure of functioning hospitals in the district, which he described as a political failure.

economic recovery measures

Kunasek emphasized the need to get the economy going again. He criticized the previous politics as ineffective and promised that willingness to perform had to be rewarded again. The Freedom Party wants to work in particular for the hard -working people and focus on their central concerns. "We will put people at the center of our politics and not the ones who make demands without responsibility," said Kunasek.

It remains to be seen how the voters will decide on November 24th. The freedom seems to unite many people and could actually bring about the hoped -for change of course in Styria. The developments of the coming days are crucial and could have a lasting impact on the political landscape in the region.
