Excursion for the forest management of the future
In addition to the changes in personnel, innovative approaches to forest management were also discussed. Special tree species such as Japanese Birke and Lebanon-Zeder were presented and the need for a targeted choice of plants emphasized so that forest management will continue to be successful in the future. It was also emphasized that the origin of the seeds is decisive for the success of the growing success. The excursion, in which 130 participants took part, also found the waldownersverband.at Consideration.
The participants had the opportunity to explore different destinations, including the Bavarian Office for Forest genetics and the Eichet, a historic oak forest that was created in 1788. Such events not only promote the exchange of knowledge among forest owners, but also offer valuable insights and strategies to meet the challenges of climate change and forest care.
