Christmas organ music: a festive experience in Villingen!
On Saturday, January 11th, a special musical event will take place in the Benedictine Church in Villingen. The organ music at the market time is performed at 11 a.m., with the Münster and District Cantor Roman Laub playing Christmas organ music.
At the concert, works by renowned composers come to the hearing, including Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Pachelbel, L. J. A. Léfebure-Wély and Johann Sebastian Bach. Roman Laub is an experienced musician who comes from Bad Buchau in Oberschwaben. He completed his studies in Catholic church music, school music and concert subject organ in Freiburg, Graz and Weimar. Laub has been a Münsterkantor at Villinger Münster from our dear wife and district cantor for the Dean's Office Schwarzwald-Baar since 2013.
Entry and donations
The concert takes half an hour and admission is free. Donations for the preservation of the Silbermann organ are requested.
In addition, a festive New Year's Eve concert by the Catholic parish of Villingen took place on New Year's Eve in our dear wife. This concert lasted an hour and marked the end of the solo career by trumpeter Bernhard Kratzer after 35 years and the end of the Duos Kratzer and Paul Theis.
The concert included works by well -known composers such as Purcell, Humperdinck, Torelli, Bellini, J.S. Bach and Verdi. The entrance started at 9:30 p.m. and the concert started at 10 p.m., finally ended at 11 p.m.
