Graz-Vienna: Successful bus connection celebrates ten years of mobility!
The Flixbus connection between Graz and Vienna is a real model of success! Since 2014, over four million passengers have been transported on this heavily frequented route and covered a considerable 25 million kilometers. Every day, eleven buses are now used almost every hour, controlled by around 30 committed drivers, some of which are there from the start. Dr. Ludwig Richard, the owner of Dr. Richard Group describes the connection as "a real success story", which is very popular. These highlights were reported by steiermark.orf.at , which underline the high demand and importance of the route for mobility in Austria.
weekly and especially in the run -up to Christmas, the connection is even higher passenger numbers. In the past, Flixbus has steadily optimized the offer in order to meet the rush, including additional Saturday connections in Advent. A particularly amusing aspect is that with so many passengers, numerous personal objects on the bus are also forgotten. Cell phones, tablets and suitcases are the most common “remains”. Even a five-digit amount of money was once found on the bus and could be returned to the legal owner, such as 5min.at reported.
sustainable mobility on the road to success
dr. Richard and the Flixbus group not only see an economic success in the Graz-Vienna connection, but also an important contribution to sustainable mobility. "It is important to us to create inexpensive and comfortable travel options for residents and tourists," said Dr. Richard. With over 123,000 trips carried out, this route is one of the load -bearing columns of Austrian traffic. Daniel Packenius, Vice President Dach & Nordics at Flix, adds that this route impressively evidence of how well sustainable and affordable mobility solutions are accepted by the population.
