Graz defends itself: Large demonstration against right before the state election
In Graz, the alliance "Offensive to Right" announces an important demonstration that will take place just four days before the upcoming state election. The protest with the motto "Now even more so: not right!" is planned for Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and will start at Griesplatz. The organizers include numerous initiatives such as grannies against the right, pier, the March 8th committee and party political groups, including the socialist youth and KSV Lilli.
The participants of the demo train will move from Griesplatz via Grazbachgasse to the Conrad-von-Hötzendorf-Straße. The final rally is scheduled for around 6.30 p.m. at the forecourt of the fair and is scheduled to last until 8:30 p.m. The police are particularly referred to the highly frequented Conrad-von-Hötzendorf-Straße, since this route will be closed to traffic during the event.
traffic restrictions and public security
Because of the demonstration, considerable traffic disruptions are to be expected. Drivers are asked to consider large detours to avoid traffic jams. Due to the evening traffic assembly, there could be delays that affect residents and commuters. The police are already on alert to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
The demonstration not only aims to set a strong sign against right -wing movements, but also to address the political framework in the run -up to the election. This could be of great importance for the voters who are looking for information and orientation.
