Snow chaos in Deutschlandsberg: Fire brigade in continuous use!
Michlgleinz, Österreich - On February 14, 2025, the Germany -based region turned into a winter chaos. Strong snowfall fell on already slightly frozen roads and ensured dangerous driving conditions. The local fire brigades had to act quickly to cope with different missions. So there was a serious incident in the municipality of Groß St. Florian, in which a vehicle driver got onto a inclined position while dodging her car. Fortunately, the driver was able to free herself out of her car, as fireworld.at reported.
In Bad Gams, a truck slipped against a petrol pump, but there was no injured person to complain about. In total, several vehicles that were stuck, especially on the B76, had to be towed. The fire brigades in the region, including the fire brigade from Bad Gams and Deutschlandsberg, were on duty until noon to recover the crashed vehicles and to support the clearing of the streets. In addition, numerous fallen trees had to be removed because they disabled road traffic. It was an eventful start to the day, and all forces were strongly challenged, after all, no injured person was to be reported among the emergency services, as Spö Steiermark highlighted.
