In the past, particularly long waiting times for MRI examinations have been problematic. Exhibition of private medical institutions such as radiology in the Kindermann Center and new MRI stations in the LKH Wagna should meet this challenge.

"It is crucial that we have appropriate facilities in order to meet the needs of the population," explains LAbg. Holler. From January 2025, a new hospital network between Bad Radkersburg, Wagna and Deutschlandsberg will be created to strengthen the medical infrastructure. This step is intended to help offer different special areas at different locations and use synergies between the facilities.

As part of this network, there will also be a new department for orthopedics and traumatology in the accident focus in Wagna, while in Germany the areas of gynecology, obstetrics and palliative medicine are looked after.

Kornhäusl emphasizes that health care in Leibnitz is "very well secured" and it is important to identify and tackle existing challenges. It was also announced that a magnetic resonance tomograph (MRI) will be put into operation at the Wagna location, which will be a significant improvement for medical care in the region.

Another aspect of current developments is the inauguration of the new health center in the Kindermann Center, which will support the general practitioner in the region from December 2024. This offers a comprehensive primary supply on 500 square meters of area with a wide range of supply.
