Heart of love: Successful premiere in the roofing theater Stainz

An evening full of emotions experienced the audience in the roofing theater Stainz when the actresses Silvia Sonnleitner, Elke Fladenhofer and Uschy Maier brought the play "Explain 'Mir Die Liebe" by Astrid Kohlmeier together with the pianist Johanna Moser. The performance was a complete success and was rewarded with enthusiastic applause. Kohlmeier, who grew up in Stainz and now lives in Graz, entrusted the theater group to a writing order that developed into a captivating stage work.

In her piece, the author presents a multifaceted view of the complex topic of love. With a colorful sequence of scenes, she takes the audience on a journey that, among other things, addresses the unconditional love of a mother with her child, the first falling in love of schoolchildren and self -love. The realization that love not only includes a feeling, but also the understanding and value of other people, runs through the entire work.

empathy and reflection

A central message in Kohlmeier's work of art is the idea that love is a delicate plant that requires connection and care. "It comes naked, helplessly into the world," she describes the beginnings of motherly love, which despite her fragility has the strength to let the world shine. The challenge of looking beyond your own needs and also accepting the needs of others is another important discourse that is treated in the play. Whether it is about shaking the suffering beggar on the street or the oppressed neighbor - the question of human connection is urged.

The representation of the young people longing and the question of why we love someone and not another are also central issues. "Only the time motates" is conveyed in one of the emotional dialogues and reflects the reality of many young people who experience both happiness and pain in love. An impressive picture is created by the comparisons that illustrate the complexity of relationships - in such a way that the heart is described as a “vertebral wind” in which all lips hold their breath.

an evening of passion

The entire staging was carried by the great crew from the actresses and pianist Johanna Moser, who captivated the audience with her talent and passionate way of playing. The message is concluded that love remains as long as there are people, a thought that visibly touched and stimulated the audience to think.

The frenetic reactions of the audience confirmed that the questions and topics that are treated in “explain love” are resonate and relevant. A further performance of the play will take place in the roofing theater tomorrow at 6 p.m., and the tension remains high in how the audience will react to the renewed thematization of love.
