Top performance: 20 Lienz students: Inner master CAE certificate!
Lienz, Österreich - On June 6, 2025, 20 students from the BG/BRG Lienz proudly received their CAE language certificate. This certificate, which is awarded by the renowned University of Cambridge, is one of the highest qualifications as part of the ESOL language diplomas (English Speakers of other Languages). It proves that graduates have knowledge of English at a level that lies above that of the Matura and is internationally recognized.
The graduates demonstrated extensive skills in the English language, including a wide vocabulary as well as a high understanding of hearing and reading. The achievements of Anna and Katharina Stotter from the 8A class are particularly outstanding, which at the C2 level achieved the highest possible international language level. This level is often regarded as that of native speakers and is extremely relevant for inclusion in master and doctoral programs. It not only enables students to understand different topics, but also the discussion at the level of expertise.
ceremony to honor the successful students
The outstanding services were recognized in a solemn ceremony in which several professors and director Roland Rossbacher took part. This honor is seen as a motivation for future students to continue in the English language and improve their language skills.
To optimally prepare for such demanding exams, Cambridge offers a variety of resources. The online portal for exam preparation, known as an exam as an exam Journey, provides teachers teaching tips, class activities and other materials to help students prepare for the Cambridge English qualifications. It also contains practical ideas that can be implemented directly in class, as well as resources for a positive learning environment.
additional examination resources
teachers have access to a mock-test toolkit that enables realistic examination situations to simulate. This helps to understand the progress of the students and to assess their willingness to examine. In addition, webinars and Facebook live meetings are offered that provide current information and tips for improving student engagement as well as for professional development.
Another important test for checking English skills is the Linguaskill General, which is suitable for a variety of contexts, from academic to everyday applications. This test evaluates a wide range of levels, from B1 (medium) to C2 (advanced), and supports candidates in achieving their personal, academic or professional language goals. Preparation materials are also available, often in the form of workshops or private coaching. These resources are invaluable to strengthen the self -confidence of the learners and to promote their knowledge of English.
Overall, the success of the students of the BG/BRG Lienz illustrates both the high quality of language mediation at the school and the extensive support from Cambridge. Their commitment and the associated success set a new benchmark for future generations of students.
