Exciting company regatta at the Völkermarkter reservoir: teams in competition!

On August 16, 2025, the Völkermarkter reservoir will become the scene of the 12th edition of the company regatta, which attracts numerous participants from the region this year. Teams from eight different companies are expected, which will compete against each other in a sporty competition in a four-day boat on a 500-meter racetrack. The regatta begins at 9 a.m., followed by a award ceremony around 6 p.m. Each team of participants has prepared intensively for the event and completed five training sessions under the guidance of coaches Annika, Valentina and Jakob from VST Section Section Völkermarkt. Among the participating companies are well represented. The focus of the regatta is on the valued power, technology and team cohesion, which are particularly evident in the dynamics of rowing. The admission prices are 10 euros in advance and 12 euros at the box office, whereby each ticket is a lot for the large raffle.

Festive atmosphere with music and culinary

After the competitions, visitors can expect a festival with live music from the duo "Free Fallin". The celebrations start at 7 p.m. and offer regional culinary delicacies and a large raffle with attractive prices. This combination of sporty competition and celebration in a festive setting attracts many people every year and strengthens local cohesion.

In addition, the 34th International Sprintregatta is on the program on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Athletes from home and abroad also compete on the 500-meter route, including young talents, juniors and mixed teams. Special features of this event are the titles "King of the Lake" and "Queen of the Lake". Here too, the competition begins at 9 a.m. and admission is free.

An important initiative to promote the connection between schools and racing is the team building event of the association, which is also supported by state coach Wolfgang Sigl and youth coordinator Julian finish. At this event, in which NMS Hermannstrasse and NMS Langstögergasse took part, the students received theoretical and practical introductions to rowing. The event ended with a barbecue and was a success to arouse interest in this sport and strengthen the connection to the local rowing association.
