Slovakia attracts Israelis: New representation opened in Tel Aviv!

Tel Aviv, Israel - On May 29, 2025, the National Organization Slovakia Travel restored a constant representation in Israel. Gabriela Madrová has taken over the management of this foreign representation in Tel Aviv, who has been on site since May. Israel is one of the most important source markets for tourism in Slovakia. The main goal of representation is to increase entry traffic from Israel, as Slovakia is advertised as a safe country with a variety of recreational opportunities.

Slovakia offers almost 2,000 thermal and mineral sources, which in particular attract Israeli visitors. These natural resources are a central offer for travelers who are interested in wellness and leisure activities. In addition, UNESCO monuments, castles, locks and unique caves are highlighted, which are part of the country's cultural heritage.

increase in visibility as a travel destination

The reopening of the representation follows a phase of absence and serves to increase the visibility of Slovakia as an attractive holiday country. Matej Fekete, General Director of Slovakia Travel, emphasizes the importance of this initiative for promoting incoming tourism. Slovakia is not only valued for its spas, but also for their wonderful landscape.

at the Imtm 2025, the largest tourism fair in the Mediterranean, Slovakia was first presented to a wide audience in Tel Aviv. This fair took place in May and offered the opportunity to contact numerous Israeli tour operators and travel agencies. The response was great and there is a strong interest in cooperation with Slovakian tourism partners.

direct flight connections for improved accessibility

To make the trips from Israel easier, flights are offered directly to Bratislava and Piešťany, which will be recorded by the end of May. These new connections should help to open up the tourist potential of Slovakia and to promote the cultural exchange between the two countries.

In addition to the tourist attractiveness, Slovakia is known for its UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These include significant historical sites, such as the remains of the Gerulata castle at Rusovce and parts of the Celamantia castle at Iža, which are due to the landscape characterized by the Danube. The fortress in Komárno is an outstanding attraction because it was once the largest in Austria and was able to house up to 200,000 soldiers. The well-preserved fastening systems here are also in conversation as candidates for the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The targeted promotion of Slovak tourism in domestic and foreign markets is thus significantly supported by reopening the constant representation in Israel.
