Jürgen Tröger: A life for Taufkirchen - 100 years of commitment and passion
Jürgen Tröger, a passionate conservationist and active member of his community, celebrated his remarkable 100th birthday on October 2, 2024. After moving to the picturesque community of Taufkirchen near Munich in 1972, he soon took a central role in local club life and contributed significantly to the development of his homeland.
his commitment began with the establishment of the local group of the BUND Nature Conservation, whose member he is to this day. Mayor Jörg Pötke remembered a moving episode, while the Tröger appealed passers -by in ice in 1995 in order to motivate them to establish the Life -Werte Taufkirchen (ILT) Initiative. "He supported us with his enthusiasm and persistence," said Pötke, and he pointed out that Tröger has always occurred for the interests of the community.
a versatile life path
Jürgen Tröger was born in Berlin in 1924 and grew up in an academic environment because his father was a professor of electrical engineering. After the Second World War, he studied horticulture and ran a farm on the Baltic Sea for some time. However, his life soon led him to the distance, where he worked as a travel companion and met his wife in Austria. Together they led a pension and their family grew around three children. A stopover in Canada followed before the Tröger family finally returned to Taufkirchen.
his professional career was in many ways: in addition to his employment as an insurance clerk, he was also active in the social and political field. Tröger never tired of working for the concerns of his neighbors and for nature conservation, which brought him great respect in the community.
a life in Taufkirchen
Although his health has changed in old age, Jürgen Tröger stays in his family house in Taufkirchen, where a nurse supports him. His daughter, Sabine Tröger, was positive about his current state: "My father is still fit. Sometimes he messes up things, but that's normal at this age." The special celebration for his 100th birthday was organized in the family and included a lot of cakes, nice conversations and visits to relatives. A special excursion to the Tegernsee followed one day after the celebrations.
its loyalty to nature and the community remains unbroken. Pötke characterized him as a friendly and sociable person who knows how to find hearing in difficult discussions. "When the town hall on the wet meadows on the Hachinger Bach put on a gentle-related hand," said Pötke, "it often went to his cap. He summed it up and made it clear that nature should be protected."
In the near future, the BUND nature conservation will plant a noble chestnut on Köglweg, which is devoted to him in the near future. This symbolizes the appreciation of the community for its comprehensive contributions in the field of nature conservation and community.
