Sustainable innovation: exhibition on circulatory materials in Salzburg

In the architecture house Salzburg, an innovative exhibition with the title circular materials - raw material or residual fabric? . This exhibition is devoted to natural resources and shows new ways of how materials can be used more sustainably. Many of the materials that are simply burned or expensive nowadays can be the basis for new, environmentally friendly products.

The focus is particularly on regional treasures such as wood, but also a variety of other raw and residues that come from agriculture and forestry. These include, for example, straw, mallow, bark, cellulose, as well as various extracts such as tannin and lignin. These materials offer enormous potential to be used in the circular economy. As Michael Ebner from the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg emphasizes, this exhibition is not only about avoiding resources, but also about an exciting perspective on the future.

The exhibition would like to encourage visitors, rethink and switch to circulatory materials. It shows how circulatory formats can be integrated into different products, which contributes to an effective answer to climate change. It is about conveying a positive vision that combines the concept of sustainability with enthusiasm and creative possibilities.

Opening times of the exhibition:
The exhibition is open on Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and lasts from November 15, 2024 to February 28, 2025. Please note that the exhibition from December 21, 2024 to January 13, 2025 is closed.
