With O-Bus fans against violence: strong message for Salzburg
On November 19, 2024,in Salzburg was launched a remarkable initiative to set a strong signal against violence in partnerships. As part of the annual “16 days against violence” campaign, specially designed O-Bus supporters are drawn to this important topic. This campaign is the result of a collaboration between the Salzburg Lines and the "Stop" (districts without a partner -powered) neighborhood table.
Under the concise motto "Look down - instead of looking away!" the trailers were designed to raise awareness of the subject of partnership. The aim is to encourage the population to show civil courage and act actively when suspected of violence. City councilor Andrea Brandner emphasized: "Violence protection tackles us all - together with our cooperation partner Salzburg Linien Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH, we set a clear sign in public space with the hangers: Violence has no place in our society."

These trailers not only have a decorative purpose. They also offer important information and show practical ways how parties from partner power can find support. With this visible commitment, passers -by and passengers should be sensitized and recognize that each person can contribute to the prevention of domestic violence.
The “Stop” project focuses on the active participation of the population. Residents from the districts shape the messages against violence with their ideas and actions. Cooperation with the Salzburg Lines represents an example of how civic engagement can be implemented in practice.
This extensive action should not only draw attention to the topic, but also promote dialogue within the community. The trailers that drive through the streets of Salzburg are a sign that the topic of partnership is taken seriously and that society works together to find solutions.
