The training of almost 1,000 members of the avalanche warning commissions takes place from November 28th to 30th at the Kitzsteinhorn. Here the participants learn how to interpret weather data, examine snow cover and carry out stability tests. The governor Wilfried Haslauer emphasizes the important role of the volunteer members, whose specialist knowledge and local knowledge offer security for all winter athletes.
