Salzburg rural youth shows impressive diversity in projects 2023

The rural youth local groups from Salzburg have implemented many projects this year with impressive commitment that range from cultural care and social initiatives to first aid courses. This variety of volunteers were recently presented in the parish hall in Bischofshofen, where the members could be proud of their creativity and community spirit. The tension remains high until on January 11, 2025 at the day of the rural youth in St. Johann im Pongau, it will be announced whether the projects are awarded gold, silver, bronze or "successful participation".

A total of 25 projects were launched that shone through clear time management and a well -defined project management. These criteria are crucial for success and recognition within the rural youth. The former unit employee of the Landjugend Salzburg, Margreth Rehrl, was impressed by the broad range of activities that offer the various local groups.
"The diversity of the activities of the individual rural youth group groups and the self -confidence with which they present their projects" , said Rehrl.

A look at the Flachgau projects

The Aufaq-project of the rural youth Anthering stands out under the remarkable initiatives, led by Stefanie Leitner . With the motto "Do not continue - learn in town!" this project offers a platform for the exchange of knowledge and skills directly in the community. The participants were able to choose from a wide range of courses that ranged from baking bread to alpaca guides to many other offers.
"It is important to us to strengthen the community and to inspire people for what our place has to offer," emphasizes Leitner the intention of the initiative.

Another remarkable example from the Flachgau is the project "Grandma Vazöh Amoi ..." of the Landjugend Köstendorf under the direction of Maria-Theresa Aigner . Here, young people took the time to talk to seniors and capture their stories. Aigner, who is also the deputy head of the state youth Salzburg, underlines the value of personal exchange between the generations.

presentation of the Jump course

In addition to the project presentation, the final presentation of the LFI certificate course Jump (young, unbeatably motivated personalities) was organized. Eight participants from five different Salzburg districts presented their projects that were created as part of this training. The course includes various modules, including topics such as rhetoric, team building and project management. Theresa König , the rural youth officer, emphasizes the importance of such educational offers:
“The key to a successful future is the formation of young people. It is particularly nice to see if such great projects are created and they are successfully implemented until the end.”

The presence of the rural youth and their activities show how much value is placed on the active participation of the community. The projects are not only important for the participants themselves, but also for the general public.
