Cross -border excursion: Innovative wood projects in focus
In a remarkable step towards promoting sustainable building, a cross -border excursion recently took place, which brought together numerous representatives from various clubs and companies. The aim of the event was to visit interesting timber construction projects in the districts of Berchtesgadener Land and Traunstein as well as in the Salzburg area. Wood is not only considered a modern building material, but also contributes to the creation of a pleasant indoor climate, which makes its use in the region particularly relevant.
Initiators of the excursion were Proholz Salzburg, the Berchtesgadener Land Wirtschaftservice, Chiemgau GmbH Wirtschaftsförderung and the association "We build on home wood e.V." and Proholz Bavaria. These cooperation partners show how important the exchange across borders is for the development of innovative construction projects.
Start of the excursion in the Schön View clinic
The excursion began at the Schönsicht clinic in Stanggass, a municipality in Bischofswiesen, where two new bed houses are currently being built in wooden construction. The client, Nuri Irshaid, emphasizes that the decision for wood had been made from the start. In addition, the wood used comes from its own forest, which significantly shortens the transport route. This decision takes another step towards sustainable building, which is not only ecologically but also economically sensible.
Visits on the Salzburg page
In addition, projects were also visited on the Salzburg side, including the kindergarten in Mattsee. Mayor Michael Schwarzmayr emphasized the special atmosphere that is created by the use of wood. It was taken care of that both children and employees feel good.
Another support led the group to the Salzburg-Umgebung district administration in Seekirchen, which is known for its modern construction. Governor Dr. Wilfried Haslauer described the building as the "flagship" of the administration, which at the same time underlines the potential of timber construction in public administration.
The excursion offered the approximately 50 participants valuable insights into modern timber construction projects and promoted the exchange between different actors. The organizers hope that such encounters will continue to help develop sustainable construction methods in the future and to provide new impulses in the region.
