In the night of Monday, a serious traffic accident occurred on Leonfeldener Straße (B126) in Kirchschlag, in the Urfahr-Umgebung district. A frontal collision between two vehicles called for a fatality and two injuries. The exact circumstances that led to the collision have so far been unclear how the police report.

A 22-year-old driver from the Urfahr-Umgebung district and a 58-year-old man from Linz were involved in the accident. The two cars collapsed head -on, whereby the Linz vehicle was thrown over a guiding rail and finally ended up in an embankment on the edge of an adjacent forest.
