Back in the heart of Hallein: The thesaltable opens its doors

After a long period of uncertainty and standstill, Hallein has created a new lively meeting point for locals and visitors. A year after the well -known Muglbar on Bayrhamerplatz closed its gates, the restaurant was now reopened as a “thesaltable”. This revitalization takes place against the festive background of the Advent market, which was opened at the same time in the old town of Hallein.

The new opening on Friday, November 22nd, brings new life to the city's traditional catering scene. Alexander Stangassinger, the mayor of Hallein and member of the SPÖ, expressed his joy about the successful implementation of the project. "It is a pleasure that the implementation still worked in 2024. This project shows how well the city of Hallein, SSW Real Estate and the local protection commission have worked together," he says and emphasizes the importance of cooperation.

An important step for the gastronomy

The return of a catering business to this central location is considered a significant progress by many. Rainer Candido, Managing Director of the Hallein/Bad Dürrnberg tourism association, describes the Thesaltbar as an "important impulse for the further development of Halleins". His vision for the thesaltable is clear: "With its central location and modern orientation, it will contribute to the attractiveness of our city," he explains.

The new concept of the thesaltable should not only expand the gastronomic offer, but also create a place where people can meet and exchange. This type of social togetherness is particularly important for the city, especially in times when the community is to be promoted.

The opening of the thesaltable brings a breath of fresh air to Hallein and gives hope that further such initiatives could follow in order to further enrich urban life. The interests of citizens and visitors are already awakened, and the challenges of the past now seem to have been overcome.
