New shine for the ASKÖ Boxclub Hallein: Modern training hall opened
In Hallein, an exciting change has taken place. The training hall of the ASKÖ boxing club Hallein, which is located in the polytechnic school, has been extensively renovated and is now shining in new splendor. Members and visitors can look forward to modern equipment that significantly improves the training conditions.
Currently, the association has 40 active members who benefit from the new environment. Tarik Asil, who has been chaired since last year, can look back on a long history of the club that has produced numerous state and national champions. The renovation of the hall was necessary to meet the high requirements of boxing. "Actually everything is new, with the exception of the walls," explains Asil. The association has invested several thousand euros in the general renovation, supported by sponsors such as the EMCO private clinic, Carena author cleaning and the municipality of Hallein.
an event full of guests of honor
At the opening ceremony, many guests of honor were present, including the National Council MP Michaela Schmidt, the local fire brigade commander Sebastian Wass and Mayor Alexander Stangassinger from the SPÖ. Mayor Stangassinger emphasized the importance of clubs for city life and assured: "Without clubs, a city is nothing. Even if the community budgets are scarce, the clubs are the last one where we will save." This promise was well received by chairman Asil, who sees it as important for the survival of such sports facilities.
A special highlight of the renovation is the new boxing ring, which now enables the club to raise training to a higher level. "A boxing ring is not just a place where athletes compete. It is a place where you learn a lot," says Asil. This statement reflects the philosophy of the club, which, in addition to sporting successes, also includes the personal development of the members.
With these changes, the Boxclub Hallein is well positioned for the future. In particular, the equipment of the training hall could not only be an incentive for current members, but also for new interested parties to join the association. The positive development shows how important commitment and support from sponsors and the community are to keep such sporting institutions alive. The comprehensive renovation is not only an investment in sporting performance, but also a commitment to the importance of sport in the community, Tarik Asil concludes.
