The new federal government has published a comprehensive educational budget for 2025 today, which is a considerable increase of 407 million euros compared to the previous year at over 12 billion euros. Furthermore, a “opportunities bonus” of 85 million euros is provided for schools with special social challenges. From the school year 2026/27, these funds are to be reinforced with 65 million euros annually to ensure support for schools with increased support needs.
