circular economy in focus
The concept of the circular economy aims to keep raw materials in a closed circuit and to design products so that they can easily be dismantled and reused. This is directly related to the goals of the event, which on the one hand promotes the longevity of products and, on the other hand, creates economic and ecological innovation incentive.
The global challenges of the use of resources were also addressed as part of the discussions. The Earth Overshoot Day, who fell on August 1st in 2024, marks the time when our resource consumption exceeds the earth's regenerative capacities. Germany records its Country Overhoot Day on May 3, 2025.The resource Forum Austria has established itself as an independent, non -profit platform for circular economy and resource efficiency since its foundation in 2013. The event offered an important stage for entrepreneurs: inside and expert: inside from all over Austria and beyond, to discuss innovative solutions and approaches.
The main sponsors of the event included the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Land Salzburg as well as companies such as the Stieglbrauerei and Salzburg AG. Numerous supporters such as old -fashioned recycling Austria, Lidl and Uniqa also contributed to the success of the forum.
A look at future events: The 7th National Resource Forum is planned for spring 2027 in Salzburg. This constant occupation with the circular economy and resource -saving measures is not only necessary, but also crucial for the achievement of global sustainability goals.
