Austria's transport stars 2025: Golden winners of export prices crowned!
On June 3, 2025, a ceremonial award ceremony took place as part of the Exporters' Nite, which honored the best companies in the transport and traffic industry in Austria. Alexander Klacska, chairman of the federal division transport and traffic in the Austria Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ), congratulated the award winner: personally. The awards were presented by WKÖ President Harald Mahrer and Federal Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer. Remarkable services were recognized in the transport and traffic category, which underline the versatility and innovation of the industry.
The gold medal in this category went to Beat the Street Jörg Philipp Touring Service GmbH from Fritzens, Tyrol. Founded in 1992 by Jörg Philipp, the company went through a remarkable development, starting with a converted postbus for hardcore and metal bands. Today Beat the Street is considered the market leader in the European touring industry with an impressive export quota of 100%. The services focus on the essential music and event hobs in Europe, such as Great Britain, Germany, France and in South and Eastern Europe.
silver and bronze for innovative solutions
The bronze award received the Prangl Holding Vienna. Since its foundation in 1965, the company specializes in mobile cranes and heavy transports and has further developed its expertise in the field of wind energy, especially in the transport and assembly of wind turbines. Prangl has expanded in the CEE region since 1991 and currently operates 17 locations in six countries.

Over 500 guests were present at the award ceremony, including the most prominent representatives of business and politics. This reflected the immense importance of the transport and logistics industry for the Austrian economy. According to Statista in this industry in 2021 around 785 million tons of goods and achieved a record high of 96 billion tons of kilometers of transport services.
The logistics industry includes various aspects, including freight forwarding, storage and packaging. In 2022, Austrian goods exports amounted to over 194 billion euros, while the service exports made up more than 77 billion euros. However, the industry is also faced with challenges such as a shortage of labor, increasing costs and problems in the supply chains, which makes innovative solutions to the excellent companies particularly relevant.
Export prices are awarded annually in six main categories, including trade & craft, industry and tourism. For this year's award, the winners were selected by an independent jury of experts on the basis of their export performance of the past few years.
These recognitions are not only confirmation for the excellent services of the companies, but also a sign of the dynamics and resistance of the transport and logistics industry in Austria.
