the jury and its evaluation

The ESC's assessment mechanisms are clearly structured: a jury of five experts per participant country who have to be citizens of the respective country, evaluates the contributions. This ensures that professional opinions flow into the allocation of the points. The rules for the competition are determined by the EBU, including the provisions, that the own country must not be coordinated and the contribution must be an original song that may not have achieved any commercial success beforehand.

Switzerland will be represented by Zoë Më this year with the song "Voyage". The selective process of selection of contributions comprised 431 songs submitted, from which the final contribution was selected by a combination of national and international jury and a jury of experts. The selection process was carried out in cooperation with YouGov Switzerland.

totaling 37 countries took part in the ESC 2025, one of the most traditionally exciting music events in Europe. Spectators from non-participating countries were able to vote on a paid online voting, which further increased the range and interest in the competition. The event has been running since its foundation in 1956 and the ESC has developed into a cultural phenomenon over the years
