The Austrian population faces a decisive change in dealing with drinks: in 2025 the disposable deposit system is introduced, and the surveys show that consent is overwhelming. According to a survey by 5min.at , more than 73 percent of the Austrians support this measure. But what does that mean specifically for buying behavior? Over 31 percent of those surveyed plan to buy fewer drinks in disposable packaging in the future, which indicates a clear trend towards more sustainable alternatives.
