Rescue dog brigade in Gunskirchen: Successful operations passed!

In Gunskirchen, the members of the rescue dog brigade from Upper Austria recently gathered to take up an important date: the operational test. This test ensures that both the dog handlers and their animals are qualified for life -saving missions. The results are crucial, because only those who pass this test may participate in searches.

The operating test took place just a few hours after a large-scale search action, in which the brigade searched for a missing 86-year-old in Gmunden. Such missions illustrate the responsibility that lies on the shoulders of the rescue dog handlers and their four -legged partners. The state operations, Nadine Aumayr, emphasizes the need to be able to rely on the team members. A total of 15 dog handlers and 16 search guides took the exam on this day.

Mayor Christian Schöffmann supported the project by providing the local music school as an operations center. From here, the search teams were sent to the neighboring Au, where people were hidden who had to be found during the day and at night. Manuela Huemer accompanied her four -year -old long -haired dog Frisco to the search. Equipped with a card and GPS device, they started their use to find the hidden people.

The exam itself was a challenge: a given period of a few hours should be used to find the six hidden people. Manuela confessed that she was a little excited, but the confidence in her dog was steadfast.

The trained search dog once again demonstrated its skills. Frisco sniffed up all hidden people and stated by loud barking where they were. After passing the exam, Manuela was overjoyed and said: "I am relieved. The training has paid off and I am happy about the positive result."

With this passed exam, Manuela and Frisco are now ready for use. State operations manager Aumayr was satisfied with the performance of the dog handlers and their animals: "The services shown here were excellent again. I can proudly say that our teams are well trained."

This positive feedback shows how important such tests and the constant training of the emergency services are. Every member of the rescue dog brigade helps to save people's lives in need, and these exams are a crucial step in this way.
