Advent music and contemplation: concerts in Wels and the surrounding area
Bad Wimsbach/Thalheim/Offenhausen/wels/gunskirchen. In the run -up to Christmas, it becomes musically in several communities of the district. On the first Sunday of Advent, December 1st, three choirs invite you to their Advent concerts. Music enthusiasts have the opportunity to look forward to various programs, promise the festive atmosphere and pre -Christmas contemplation.
The Singkreis Offenhausen laid the foundation stone with a concert in the parish church at 5 p.m. Under the motto "Today I take a Stünderl Zeit", the singers will be guest with a Wind ensemble and a student choir. Advent texts complete the program, and afterwards all visitors are invited to a cozy end with punch. Entry takes place on a donation base.
Zünd to a Liaste
Another highlight is the Advent singing of the Singkreis Wim, which is under the motto "Zünd an A LOUGH". The performances take place at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the parish church of Bad Wimsbach. There will be the powder ried music and the Wels wind quartet. Karl Kiniger will play on the organ, while Peter Gillesberger presents the right intermediate texts. Admission is also free here, but donations are welcome.
In addition, the Hans Sachs-Chor Wels will organize an Advent concert in the pilgrimage church of Maria Schauersberg at 5 p.m. The event will be repeated on Sunday, December 8th at 6 p.m. in the Marienkirche Wels. Under the title "What Miracle is now true", visitors can expect a contemplative hour in which the choir under the direction of Wolfgang W. Mayer wants to perform both critical and atmospheric Advent songs. Prose and poetry by Franz Strasser as well as musical interludes on the cello of Gunther Skala complement the program. Last but not least, the Singkreis Gunskirchen invites you to a special advent evening with a variety of performances. This will take place on Wednesday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the event center. The wind quartet of the music association, the Fischinger Saitenklang as well as Katja and Gabriel Bielefeld and the shepherd play group will ensure a varied program that allows the audience to dive into the Christmas season. Tickets can be reserved in advance.
