Dancing for health: Line dance course starts in Ottensheim

In Ottensheim, an exciting beginner course in the line dance will be offered from October 10th. The passionate dancer and doctor Ilse Rathke-Valencak will lead the courses in the cozy post studio. She describes Line Dance, especially the Catalan Style, as an exciting mix of movement, music and health. "Not only is it fun, it also has a lot of health benefits," explains Rathke-Valencak.

The Catalan Style, which was derived from the traditional country line dance, brings new dynamic elements into play. The steps are less rigid and offer the dancers the opportunity to bring their own style. The dance program promotes the concentration and coordination of the participants and is therefore an excellent fitness program that strengthens the cardiovascular system. According to the Rathke-Valencak, the dances can also help reduce the risk of dementia because they activate the brain cells and promote new links.
