informative lectures for fire brigade members
The conference included three technically exciting lectures that offered the participants valuable information and new perspectives on relevant topics. Emergency paramedics Martin Gossenreiter from NEF Zwettl/Rodl opened the series with his contribution to "major damage management - commitment and cooperation with several patients". This lecture illustrated the challenges and concepts in dealing with emergencies in which a large number of injuries must be treated.
Afterwards, Katja Sieper, the head of the crisis assistant in Upper Austria, spoke about a very sensitive topic: "Violence/aggression against emergency services". Important points were discussed with aggressive groups of people on the security of the emergency services and dealing strategies, which may occur during an assignment. This information is particularly important for firefighters, since they often work in stressful and potentially dangerous situations.
The end of the lecture series was Andreas Manigatterer, the leading fluidter from ÖAMTC Christophorus 10.
This event was able to further strengthen the specialist knowledge and cooperation between the fire brigade members in the various districts. Such conferences are essential in order to keep emergency services up to date with the latest media technology and operational strategies and thus to improve general operational readiness.
